Dentures & Partials

Tooth loss occurs for all sorts of reasons, including decay, trauma, and a wealth of oral diseases. Fortunately, you can have custom-made full or partial dentures to restore both the function and appearance of your teeth.

REMOVABLE DENTURES

Removable dentures can replace some or all your teeth. They maintain the proper shape of your mouth, allowing you to eat and speak properly. As the name suggests, removable dentures are quick and easy to slip into and out of your mouth,/p>

PROPER DENTURE CARE TIPS

Dentures, like the teeth the dentures replace, require proper care. If you do not care for your dentures properly, you can lose them the same way you lost your teeth. Fortunately, proper denture care is not too challenging.

EATING

While dentures are like teeth, they are not teeth. Moreover, some patients spend time without some – or all – of their teeth before they pursue dentures. So, you basically must re-learn how to eat. Always start out with soft food until you adjust to your dentures. Sticky and exceptionally hard food don’t mix well with dentures.

CLEANING

Throw out your toothpaste if you have full dentures. If you have partials, you still need that toothpaste for the teeth still in your mouth. You also need to purchase denture cleaner. Don’t allow food particles to linger in your dentures, and always keep your dentures moist. Therefore, you must put them in a cleaning solution to soak anytime you take them out of your mouth for extended periods of time.
